4. Update assay used in economic study.

5. Update assays used in crude valuation/purchase studies.

6. Update assays used in optimizing refinery operations, based on previous crude quality monitoring data on the crudes.

7. Check validity of laboratory results. When the model the qualities predicted by the model are significantly different from measured values, it is an indication that the measured values should be examined for possible errors, e.g., bad sample, inaccurate recording of the measured value, faulty techniques, etc.
