Individual optimizers are available for Motor Gasoline (MODEL-MG) and Diesel Fuel Blending (MODEL-DF) and a multi-product optimizer (BLEND-CP) that can handle many products from Gasoline to Fuel Oil and including Crude Oil. The individual optimizers are best if only one product is to be blended. There is a somewhat higher learning curve for using the multi-product optimizer, but if you are blending several products, it more than pays for itself both in software cost and in productivity, since only one interface is being managed.

The individual optimizers handle up to 10 components in a blend, while the mulit-product BLEND-CP can blend up to 20 components. There is a library of up to 25 user defined components in the individual blenders and 100 in the multipurpose blender. BLEND-CP also includes a Specification Library (up to 15). A separate LP optimizer ^{transparently performs the optimization calculations}. The individual optimizers use the Excel The product is compatible with all versions of Windows, but requires Excel version 97 or later.

The Computer Requirements for all product are basically those of Excel (version 97 or later).

The models use proven blending technology to estimate the quality of the final product blend. Also included are non-optimal blending calculations and routines for data conversion and estimation. The models are designed for the non-technical user. In other words, the user does not need any special mathematical or programming skills to run the programs.
